Just want to update everyone and give hope to all those who are in the calgary office.
Some how all the people I know got the citizinsihp in under 13 months of applying
Here is our timelines
Submmited application November 2011
LOA a month later
In process September 5th, 2012
October 5th, 2012 Finger prints requested. only given 60 days to finish but we asked to extend it and they kindly did.
We did electronic finger prints few months after. they were recieved by late january
and on March 4th we checked the notice online and saw tow dates ( same date) but one for test in monring and one for cermony in the afternoon.
Cermony was amazing. Test was ok but needs lots of studying ( too much details). Also, be careful to know names of people and terms etc. Don't wait to recieve your letter because the letter arrived only one week to the exam. Good thing we checked e-cas. Study hard and you will pass.
Also, make sure to follow the requests on both letters. They want to see original documents of all the ID copies you sent. If you don't bring the documents, you will be allowed to write the test.
Also, make sure to have stamps transilated if they are not. Make a copy of your passport but only transilate the pages that are not in English or French.
The interview was ok. They asked about few details we wrote in the letter and also asked if you left the country. We submitted supporting documents to them of all university and educational, tests confirmation of employment letters.
