I understand for CEC there should be 52 weeks. I work bi weekly

22 Paycheck = 44 weeks
3 paycheck 53 hours, 34 hours and 37.5 hours = 3 weeks (It was less than 60 hours because I was either unwell or took off )

Total =47 weeks , so i need another 5 more weeks.

Is the calculation correct ?

Basically my 1 year is suppose to be on 14th Jan 2015 but since i took 3 weeks unpaid vacation (i got 4% but apparently it is considered as unpaid), i will wait for another 3 weeks to make it 1 year

I have gained more than 1700 hrs expreience in 13 months. also have applied PR under cec on August 2014 got my AOR.

In my working period i got my salary 15 days one time (bi-weekly). My some salary strubs have mentioned 50 hrs. some strubs have mentioned 60 hours. But all strubs have only between 50 and 60 hrs.

Is this ok or not. can anybody give details

Can't tell. it sounds like you have a combination of full-time and part-time weeks.

A week with 30 hours or more is full-time. You cannot "count" more than 30 hours. Just count full-time weeks (or 30 hours).

A week with less than 30 hours is part time. You have to add up all your part-time hours and divide by 30 to get the full-time equivalent (FTE) number of weeks.

You have to have a minimum of 52 weeks .

Just i have heard and clarified a news regarding full time and part time through my friend.

Need minimum one year and 1560 hours to eligible to CEC (everybody know it)

Listen following calculation method

For example

1. If you have one year and totally 1560 hours 1560/52 = 30 Hrs. eligible

2. If you have 24 months and totally 1560 hours 1560/104 = 15 Hrs eligible

formula

working hours/working week = if 30 hour, you can eligible if you have one year experience
working hours/working week = if 15 hour, you can eligible if you have two years expreience

If this news is false plese, correct it.

More precise details are provided by CIC. I would not rely on "a friend," unless that friend is a visa officer.

It is sort of correct.
"working hours/working week = if 30 hours OR MORE PER WEEK, you can eligible if you have one year experience"

You cannot count hours beyond 30 to make up time for hours less than 30.

Just an example. If you work 35 hours per week for 52 weeks, you qualify. If you work 30 hours per week every week, you qualify.

But if you work 35 hours per week for 26 weeks and 25 hours per week for 26 weeks, you do NOT qualify in 1 year, even if the total hours are 1560. That is because you cannot count the extra 5 hours every week for the 35-hour weeks; in effect, you cannot "average" part-time and full-time hours.

In this scenario, the part-time hours are 650 hours (25 hours per week X 26 weeks). You divide by 30 (650/30) to get the full-time equivalent of 21 weeks. 26 full time weeks + 21 FTE weeks = 47 weeks = you do not qualify. You would need to work an extra 5 full-time weeks before you qualify.

Depends. The 4 part-time weeks would have to total at least 60 hours to be the FTE of 2 weeks.

based on this I get

22 pay check 30 hours or more = 44 weeks
3 paycheck = paycheck 53 hours, 34 hours and 37.5 hours = 121/30 =4 FTE, Total = 48 weeks

So I need 4 more weeks ...I hope visa office calculate the way you do :)

To be honest , I took a vacation in between. I get 4% vacation pay with every pay check but during my vacation, i did not get any pay and hence no pay check.
I Heard that 4% WILL NOT COUNT AS PAID VACATION, ELSE I COULD HAVE COUNTED 2 MORE WEEKS

Where did you hear that it doesn't count?

You DO get paid for vacation, every paycheck, to the equivalent of 2 weeks of paid vacation. I'd say you're entitled to have 2 weeks count as paid vacation.

It needs to be explained in the letter of employment...

Hi there guys,
Im glad I found this thread, so I worked 55 weeks however, as per my Pay checks I get bi-weekly I have 13 pay checks with 80 hrs biweekly. So 26 week of full-time( 40hrs per week). The other 13 paystubs range from 40.64 -73.68 hrs biweekly, totalling 815 hrs.

According to what I read here, you guys are saying that my biweekly paycheck that do not add up to 80 hrs biweekly will be added and divided by 30? So for these remaining paychecks of 815 hrs / 30 hrs =27.16 weeks?

Or will VO minus 40 hrs for the "part-time" Pay stubs then what is left over is added and divided by 30?
for example a paycheck with 62 hrs for 2 weeks, so 62 hrs-40hrs=22 hrs. So the for that pay period it would be 1 full time week and a part-time with 22 hrs.

My company is unable to tell me the exact hrs worked per week.

Hope I'm not screwed! :-[
