Hi guys,

I am doing two part time jobs under NOC B and among them I started my first part time job in June 2019 and completed 1300 hours till now and I started my second part time job in November 2019 and completed 1000 hours till now. Due to Covid-19 in some health care sectors we were not allowed to work at more than one organization so I decided to continue my work at the second employer which I have started in November but due to that I have to stop my work at first job which I have started in June 2019 and I was put on leave of absence till the government approve us to resume our work at more than one employer. Since six months I haven’t heard anything from government about resuming and another main reason is I am trying to complete my one year experience so I can move forward to put my CEC file but I have stop working at my first job from April 2020 till now so the extra hours which I have worked earlier will it help me to count that in my first job?
Extra hours which I have done in my first job will cic count that hours after April 2020 which I haven’t work and does it show in my documents when I am applying my all post ITA documents?
Please help guys and I don’t know how to move forward and I can also interchange if I want to choose to work in first job than I can stop temporarily my second job and start working at first job but I thought to complete one year with my second job is the good decision so I took it and what you guys think which job to continue which will be helpful for my counting my hours?
Thank You

You can count up to 30 hours per week at any skilled job. Each year of full-time work (or equivalent amount in part-time work) is represented by 1,560 hours spread over at least 52 weeks. So if you have worked over 1,560 hours combined in all NOC B jobs since June 2019, you are eligible to apply under the CEC.

Based on the website;
Your experience must be at least:

  • One year of full-time work
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours), or
  • equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
    • 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.

CIC doesn't count any hours you work above 30 hours/week.
