HI EVERYONE

I FILE A APPLICATION TO SPONSOR MY HUSBAND ON MAY/2012 GET THE APROVAL LETTER END OF JULY 2012, MARCH/2013 THEY CONTACT MY HUSBAND AND ASK SOME DOCUMENTS WHICH WE SEND, AFTER THAT NO NEWS.

AFTER READING HERE I FEEL LIKE MY SPONSORSHIP IS TAKING TOO LONG BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE WHO APPLY AFTER ME ALREADY GET THEIR VISAS, OF COURSE I AM HAPPY FOR EVERYONE AND IT GIVES ME HOPE EACH TIME I SEE SOMEONE WITH A GOOD NEWS THINKING MAYBE THEY WILL CONTACT US BUT NO NEWS YET.
I hope you will hear soon from them. I want you to know there is no rules for processing time and all cases not the same. As you know processing time is 19 months That is means you are still in safe side.
Hope you hear good news soon.

GOOD LUCK TO US ALL

I have question for anyone who got his visa . In confirmation of permanent residence .UCI number is it the same old UCI number or that one only for my information.
Because now we have 2 different UCI number. Is it right or what
Thanks for help

To go into more details then I did on the other post.

Yes it is normal. The applicant has a file number, which is a means to identify the application more than the individul person. Then, upon approval (or if you ordered GCMS notes you will see it there) will get a new UCI number. This new number will stay with you as a means of identifying you in all aspects of CIC. Right up until citizenship should you eventually opt/qualify to apply.

Thanks a lot.
After I applied for immigration visa in feb/2013 . I applied for tourist visa in 7/5/21013. And I left my passport with my tourist applications in embassy since that day. And I get called in 2/6 they told me my immigration visa is ready and they want 2 personal photos. And I sent it in 3/6 and I get my passport 11/6

Hello guys ,

I know I'm from different category (Provincial Nomination) , but initially I chose Cairo VO as my main office and strangely they sent it to CPP-Ottawa.
Just received an email from 1 week ago that they Cairo VO received my application and mentioning that my application is skilled worker!!!!!.
and today I checked e-cas and showed in process from 06/06/2013.

I sent them an email without any confirmation received .....I don't know if they are part of the strike.

Any thoughts/ideas about my case here.

Thanks

MadeIncanada, you said something that stirs my curiosity. you mean after the Applicant is approved by the visa office they issue a UCI for him/her? that sounds good, can you explain it more please?

We were not asked to bring anything actually, though we both had several items to show should we be asked for them or have the opportunity to show them. I did not give anything else, my husband after being asked what his father does for a living offered the VO a letter which his father wrote supporting our relationship.

As I do not know your case specifically, I can't offer that much advice. Being there for the interview should you be called for one is very important though.

Do you have any "red flags"? Age/culture/religion/background ect. differences?

I feel like there may be... it is definitely not the typical case, I can tell u that for sure. there are some things that happened differently due to our culture and religion.

The new UCI is actually given prior to the file being completed. If you ordered your GCMS notes you will find it there.

The Ottawa pilot office was doing back log application for Cairo. Your file was partially processed there, then forwarded to Cairo.

From other cases I have read or heard about it sounds as though everything is moving along. but not to worry it does not imply that there are any problems, your in process, so that is good.

With regards to the strike, it will effect every office.

What is GCMS

GCMS stands for global case management system (I believe that is right). They contain all the information regarding your file. Including anything noted by the VO that reviewed your application.
