They have requested my passport for visa issuance but e-case still says file is in process !!
Is that normal ? when shall I expect the passport ?

No they didnt ask for an interview and it took like a week

As per DHL confirmation it was delivered on the 29th of May.

I don't like the way they keep us waiting more and more , the decision has been made over a month and half now
medical has been expired.. we sent them 1000 times

Have you contacted the local MP? They might be able to help find out for you, or apply a little pressure for Cairo to get moving on a PPR or something.

I've called the embassy asking about how long does the passport take to get returned back to me, the woman replied me " at least one month"
I don't feel like I can believe her, guess she is just giving the embassy some buffer time, what do you think ?

According to the timelines on the spreadsheet the average at that time was one month, some even took 2. From what I have seen/heard from current cases, the average seems to be 2 weeks to a month.

I know it sucks, but it's back at the waiting game.

One factor that I can think of, I guess they send back things from the application. So, perhaps they need time to sort through it? Just a guess though....I really have no idea, It's a sticker. Can't see where it really takes all that time to pop it into the passport. Even printing the thing 5 mins TOPS.

And the VO has minions to do these tasks...(maybe that's the problem)

From what I have seen. There are no rules about time. So some people get passport back after 3 days and other 1 week and may be 3 weeks.
Hope from that people get passport with visa. Tell us how long it took.

That is how I got the estimate of 2 weeks. But you are right, in all reality we just don't know. I (or my husband) will post when it gets returned to let everyone know.

I just wanted to know a bit of information regarding the Cairo Visa Office.

How long approximately have you all had your processes take? It states on the page that it takes around 15 months..

And have you all had interviews, or not?

We had no interview
