If he didn't give you an opportunity to argue your case, yet encouraged you to appeal, maybe there was some remorse or guilt being expressed. Did he seem genuine when he encouraged you to appeal, or was it more of a cocky remark? Might be worth investigating....
Has anybody done any research on successful appeals? Before taking any action, I highly recommend that you find out what has worked for others before potentially shooting yourselves in the foot, and potentially making things worse. I'm going to poke around a bit and will let you know what I find out.
Hey, it seemed like everything he said was automatic and already planned before he met us. I think he said "I appreciate your opinion but no" about 6 times after I argued everything, he really ignored it and shut his ears. But he couldnt have felt guilt because he told us if we apply again and he gets our case again hes just going to automatically reject us. I dont think that I am looking into the appeal yet, I believe there is another way around this that doesnt cost thousands of dollars...my ecas is not showing decision made yet so I still have time.
