I wish I had an answer for you about your medical question but I'm not a professional in the immigration process and I do not want to give you a wrong answer too ! However, I would recommend maybe contacting the visa office (or even the Ottawa Pilot if your file was transferred to them). They will be in a better position to answer this question !

One thing is for sure is... it takes an additional 2 to 3 months for the immigration to get the results of this medical...

So I think (not 100% positive on this) redoing the test before they ask you to do it is a time savior on your behalf

Here is what the letter said;;


Dear Madam,

This refers to the application for permanent residence in Canada of Mr.XXXXXXX under the family class category.

We are pleased to inform you that Mr. XXXXXXX file is now ready for visa issuance. In this regard, you are requested to send us the following documents by courier only (such as DHL, TNT, Aramex, etc) to enable us to issue his immigrant visa:

(X) His original passport.
(X) 2 recent photos. Photo specifications attached.

Please be informed that his immigrant visa is valid until 29 October 2012. He must arrive in Canada on or before the visa expiry date.

N.B.: Please return a copy of this letter with the requested document.

He received the email today,It wasn't there last night and I am so surprised to see it today because I thought they were closed until tomorrow.This email came from the cairo office though and I think they only have one day off for the New Year. allah has indeed blessed us and prayers is the answer, each time i prayed so hard from the depths of my heart a new step happened and last night I told my husband pray so hard from inside your heart and god will answer us tomorrow and HE did He did god is great. :-*

congratulations louisa i am so happy for you , my husband sent his passport before christmas & he didn't receive it yet, that's because of christmas & new year's vacation, i noticed the expiry date of PR visa in october your husband is lucky as in my case they only gave him 1.5 months
