Well its time for my good news !!

Yesterday, my husband received his passport with his VISA inside !!! We are both extremly happy that the immigration wait is finish !!

They never emailed him or called him... It simply arrived at his house unannonced !!

Unfortunately they only sent his passport with visa inside, a letter and a form to give when he arrives in Canada

I would of loved to get back some photos or even some translated documents but I have copies of everything.

We are just so happy to finally see the light at the end of this LONG tunnel

Hi all,

I have had nothing but a horrible experience with the Cairo Visa office in getting my husband to Canada for the birth of his second child, and my recovery from the surgery. They were willing to give a visa to him during the revolution and now, we wait. I am in Canada and he is in Cairo. The first step of the spousal sponsorship has been approved. Is there any good news about the timelines to process the immigration application given the turmoil and instability in Egypt? Any advice to be given. Can anyone shred light on the issue of dual intent and applying for a temporary visa when the sponsorship have been approved. I am considering to go back to Cairo to be with my husband, bringing our newborn and 16 month old as I can't imagine us being apart of 10 months. If I return will that change the sponsorship status?

My husband thinks it went well, however I am worried because they didn't keep his passport. They told him he will hear from them in 2 weeks. The interview was 30 minute and about 20 questions very common ones. I pray inshallah that he is with me soon. I really think this process is taking alot out of me. Allah does not give us more than we can handle so I guess I just have to try and relax and be patient, two things I'm not very good at lol. I'm freaking out right now Congrats on your great news I am glad there are people reconnecting with their love ones. Congrats to everyone who has had great news :-* I hope in two weeks I will be sharing my great news with everyone ;D I have met wonderful people here and I wish everyone the best

Hi guys...
My husband has his interview on Jan 16...he said it went all..they asked him all the questions on the book basically!
However, she didn't take his passport at the end of the interview..all she asked from him at the end is to provide them with a fresh criminal record..I believe that's a good sign I guess!
We submitted the new criminal recorn on jan 29th..it took long for my husband to get it done...ever since Jan 29th until today we haven't heard from them..its basically 12 days so far..
I'm worried coz his medical expires on march 20th..I don't know what to do! Do u think that when he gets the visa they are able to give it to him past march 20th? Or is it usually the case when they give him until the last day of his medical?
Coz honestly! If they ask for another medical that would take another 2 monthes! Plus my husband is in UAE visiting his family..can he get a medical done from UAE?one more question..if the visa is issued while he's in UAE, can he send his passport through DHL or does he have to be physically in Egypt??
