So my husband and I are in the final stages of our application process and the only thing we're waiting on is a corrected version of our marriage certificate. Somehow when we were originally filling things out it listed myself (the sponsored spouse) as being from Canada which is quite wrong.
Our issue is that we are struggling with the correction process. So far we've had to call in to get them to mail us a form (seriously, they couldn't email us or link us to a place to print it- they HAD to mail it to us which took forever to receive) to fill out in order to correct the mistake and then the only payment options are equally as inconvenient. We've been waiting at least 2 months now as we've sent in our application for correction, they've sent it back because of some error, and now we're still waiting without any word on why the process is taking so long.
Does anyone have experience with this? We were planning on having everything done and sent in already and this marriage cert issue is really screwing us up. Thanks
