A friend of mine who doesn't have any proof of language called a center takes care of Canadian English benchmark tests, they told him that the test result can't be a proof for the citizenship application. However, the cic website says that level 4 CLB is fine!! Any idea!
I need answers to this too

@spyfy/Experts: Tricky Question Regarding Police Clearance Certificate:

I stayed in India for 182 with in last 4 years, but the total absent days is 184, 2 days were spent in Flight/Transit. As per for the CIC I need to submit a Police Clearance certificate if I stayed 183 or more in one country. Should I request a Police clearance certificate or mention 2 days as Transit. I really appreciate for your time and suggestion.

Thanks !!

Any Suggestions on this?

Thanks mate, i can see my travel history there, the one which is missing also listed there. I can attach that print out...right?

Many Thanks again

No need to attach any print outs. Just mention your exit entries in the physical presence calculator and that's it. CIC has access to CBSA to get your travel records themselves (that is actually a requirement from their end as it is more accurate data).

Your eligibility period should be from 16Oct2012 to 15Oct2017 if you were to sign your application on 16Oct2017.

wow that was great. Thanks.The complete answer is:

A15: Print and sign the calculation and attach a copy to your Application for Canadian Citizenship - Adults. Make sure that the following dates are all the same:

  • Date of application used in this calculation;
  • Date of signature on this physical presence calculator print out;
  • Date of signature on the form for Application for Canadian Citizenship - Adults

Although it might obvious to many, the following dates must be the same:

It's not enough to have CLB4. You need that level of CLB4 to be certified by one of the authorities that IRCC recognizes like IELTS, CELPIP etc. It's not enough that some random English learning centre says that he/she has that level.

To be safe, get the PCC. That's too close of a threshold. Also, add a page explaining that you are just around the threshold and that's why you attached the PCC.

Alternatively, if you wait a month to apply, maybe that reduces the days in india in the last four years before the date of application? Basically you will lose one "old" day every day you wait to apply.

Thanks for your time, Sure I will get the PCC just to be safe.
1 month wait wont resolve my issue, my vacation was in 2015/2016 and 2017.

Ask your bank to dispute that as duplicate charge if it gets posted on your statement but can take usually 7-30 business days. But in the case of CIC it may take little longer. Ask bank to waive the interest charge. They will do it.
Hi guys I spoke to CIC today and they told me to wait for 48 hours to see if I get my receipt in email and if not then I can pay again and ask for refund for the first one. I also got an email from CIC for the refund procedure. Basically they are telling me not to rush bcoz their system is too busy these days.

Ah I see. Yeah then a short wait won't help. I was assuming that maybe some of those days were back before you became a PR.
