Ok awesome. Thanks a lot iam_toby and wessless. So just to be sure, I will have to use the same generic work permit application form and state that this is an extension of the BOWP, providing all the documents you mentioned for proof?

I feel a little better now guys. Thanks. We are all in the same boat :). It's good to have this forum.
You're welcome and yes its the same online application for extension of work permit that you need to use. Goodluck!!!

Thank you wessless. Just one last question. When do you think is the best time to apply for an extension of my BOWP? Mine is about to expire on the 27. April 2014. So I have roughly 3 months left. Are there any rules or guidelines when to apply? Obviously not after expiration date but how much time before?

Thanks a lot wessless :)

Keep track of processing times to ensure you get your application in on time. That being said, I would say 30 days before your current permit expires should be good enough. It all depends on your employer and stuff, cause if you apply a day before your permit expires, you would be on implied status. Not all employers understand or would let you continue working on implied status.
