Buying GIC help

Hi,
Im planning to apply for international student visa. In order to show the fund proof I want to buy GIC from Canadian bank.
I want to know if my uncle in Canada can transfer his money into my GIC and get the certificate? Or does it have to be wire transferring from my bank account from my country?

Pretty sure the money for GIC has to be transferred from your OWN bank account in your country to your account in Canada
