My apology if this is not the right place.
I recently got my Green card for US (On PR here in Canada). I will be moving in couple months fully to new york state.
I have one car on my name in Canada. In insurance my wife is included and she needs car.
I will be travelling back and forth during this 2 months transition period(My job is in New York).
I wanted to buy a used car in New York but if I give up my Canadian license what happens to my insurance here(My wife needs car and insurance and I am primary on insurance) ? Can I buy car in US without license of US, if yes can I get US insurance too on Canadian license too?
