@ Rossei - thanks for the info. really appreciate it.

No problem. I forgot to mention 1 thing: DON'T WAIT TO PAY THE RPRF TILL THE LAST MINUTE. By last minute I mean when they say they are ready for Visa stamping; but you did not pay your RPRF. Then they will send a request for it and will make the whole processing delayed by at least a month or so.

I'm actually confused as well to find a suitable time to pay the RPRF. I may open a whole new topic on that if I don't get a request when I open my mail tonight. :P

Hi I thought u could pay the RRPF at the time of passport request. For instance, when I get my PPR i'm gnna fly to get the visa instead of waiting 1 month to get my visa. At that time I will pay RRPF-I've heard of a few people who did it like that.

Hi Saka,

Do we have an option to get our visa stamped by personlly visiting buffalo as you said you are going to fly.

Thanks

Hi yes we do. I think the NY office is the only one that does not allow in person stamping. I could be wrong.

hello everyone. im new here and have loys of questions, hope you could help me...

Buffalo received my application package 5th oct 2010. the medical request came 2nd week of april 2011. but since then i havent heard anything yet. it has been almost 10 months since buffalo received my application. when i go online and check ecas, it only states that the visa office had received my application. is my application processing time in the right time?

Second, i read in other forums that paying rprf even without the request from vo would somewhat speed up the processing. i already ordered from cic the receipt and got it in the mail today. so what do you think?

Thank you very much in advance to those who can help me with my questions...

Buffalo received mine on Nov 1st and i still havent received med request. I paid the RPRF at time of application so that hasnt help speed things up. E-CAS still says app received and not getting replies to my emails either.. So ready to give up :(

Why is it people who applied this year have got med request but I haven't seems unfair to me. I have decided if I haven't received at least a request for my visa by end of year that is it going home... As much as i would like to stay it is getting too hard to live on my wages and cannot get a second job :(

hey Tanyar2408,

If your heart is in Canada dont give up. If you go back home you will still be forced to look for a job there and with the global recession its tough everywhere. Best wishes

Yeah i agree man hang in there the best you can. And don't allow this pressure get btw u and your goal (Canada). I've been here for 15yrs almost and always on Temporary status too. I still had to apply and deal with application processsing time twice...this time I'm confident to make it through and yet it ias so hard to stand still to your dreams.

We can if we go one day at a time and don't envy others success.

I have send in my package with a draft to Buffalo on June 4th. According to the bank it has not been cashed yet. The bank advice is to cancel it and issue a new draft.
Does anyone have the experience that it can take over 9 weeks to cash it? any input is welcome
thanks!
