Mine says..we started processing your application on June 24th.....

Passport reached Buffalo on 15th.

Mine says: Started procesing July 2. Reached March 18... In an ideal world, I should get mine 3 days after yours assuming you live in Canada.

I have little tiny curiousity.. do we have to take any bank statements or proof of funds with us?...I have my job but don't have too much money, my son's university has been chewing up my funds...I think I can probably take a certification letter from my job what do you think Sept15???

Rubyalayar, any words on this????

You can bring a letter from your employer saying you have a permanent full time job just to be sure...

Super - I have asked the same question to Qorax. He advised me to take the 'Original' Offer acceptance letter of Employment and few pay stubs. He also advised me that an individual was asked an Orginal and a photocopy was not accepted.

I will take with me: Original Offer letter, Employment Card (Id.), few latest pay stubs and an online bank statement copy.

hi! There,
a bit confused, do we have to bring the bank statment, financial proof if we land? who said this ? is it requirement from the returned package from Buffalo?

As far as I know, No. We were already evaluated by province and scanned by Visa office. All they have to do is just confirm landing, but I was asking Ruby just to make sure what did they ask her when she landed..

Actually a coworker he landed a few months ago last year and he said he was not requested to show any bank statements. We pretty much have done the hard work so. I think in the package we will find any additional instructions...right!!

I think this is good enough to have just in case. My friend wasn't even ask for a confirmation letter from employment. A good thing I did is to put my work email address. So all correspondence was sent/directed from/to my office email address.

Actually, I just had a chat with my co-worker (he is an Immigration Officer with Saskatchewan Immigration). I do work for the same Government but different Department. This is what he told me: 'It is not a mandatory requirement, but the Border Officer has the right to ask if you can support yourself and your family in Canada when you immigrate (Land). Our case is little easier because we have been here for a while (7 years for me) and we all have jobs in Canada as well BUT to be fair and treat every one equally (all immigrants), this question has to be asked... Some might not even ask, BUT if asked you need to provide some answer to that question - whether you have a job, or enough money or investment etc... and some sort of confirmation.

Hope this is clear.

There's always a chance that the CBSA officwr will ask for these documents that's why it is better to have these when landing. In our case, the photos that we sent in with our passports were good enough for Los Angeles VO but the CBSA officer said it won't do, good thing I brought new ones with me or else our PR card would have been delayed. By the way, I received our PR cards today, it took 6 weeks to be delivered.

Clear as mud Sept15.... this is fair enough..

Chigirl - Did you forwarded your passport to Buffalo? Are you in India currently? Make sure you are able to track your return envelope? Photos are correct dimension, height and eye color and put your file number on the envelope to and fro. If you are sending it via FedEx, you need to make an Account with them - you just need a credit card for that.

Good luck.

winnipeg....Any updates on your side? Looks like only a couple of us left still waiting.

Congrats chigirl!
None so far. They finally replied yesterday saying the same old "your application is in progress". My bring forward date is April 1st so roughly following the dates on your case, I'd expect the PPR around same time next month.
