Buffalo Checklist confusion

Here's what i sent:
Copies (not original) : birth certificate, passport, U diploma, transcripts (just in case, but the diploma by it self is good enough),
bank Statements: from the mail nothing out of ordinary, just make sure they ad up to the amount you need 10k+
English proficiency, just a letter saying that you speak english....
Employer letters: This one was hard to get, couse I had to talk to my ex boss to do it, thankfully i had a friend still there and she did it for me, essentially an original letter
Forms: filled out schedule 1, 3 plus application
Photos: pretty straight forward
police report: I went downtown to my police station and asked them for a conviction history request or good conduct letter, something of that sort, they asked me for my info, charged me $10 and gave me a notarized letter saying im a good boy

What i did not send:
FBI prints: these are going to take for ever, Im trying to get the whole thing done as soon as possible and i understand I can send them over at a later time, the same day i mail out my application i sent out the fbi prints. I dont know if you have read my argument as to why but here it is;
-Send the application no prints, after a few days i will recieve back the application stating that i need them
-wait for prints, re-send, since the prints are going to take a long time it wont make a difference, Im back to square 1

the $$ goes out the first time, once im back to square 1, i will wait until i get the prints from the fbi, but until then, see at that point i would know that i tried and fail but without a negative impact...
So far however it has been 2 weeks and i have not heard from the FBI nor Canada, once i do ill let you know....
