To be quite honest, we have seen a few ppl get PPR so it shouldnt be long. I think december shouldnt bring much joy due to all the holidays and year end etc. I hope I am proven wrong :)

I thought I had a deal of getting PPR before my birthday ...

Thank you Sharuu, hmdlsd, cr2008, lonereed, newbie1982, EmVee1234, Curious_city, McGill. I am overwhelmed by all of the wonderful good wishes.

I think you guys will get the PPR soon. CPP-O sent me the e-mail on Saturday, just happened to check my e-mail today. So I am guessing they are working on Weekends too. Wishing this forum all the best.

I have a feeling that most of the people on this thread will hear something before the end of this year.

Guys I have a friend who applied 13 months ago and hasn't yet received an AOR, let alone a ppr. He has tried everything like mailing to cic and getting gcms but has received nothing meaningful. What do yo guys think he should do?

He is a Provincial nominee but is not living in that province any more. Any inputs?

Why would he not be living in the same province? I think that might be raising the red flag. I think it voids your PNP certificate on which basis he applied for PR! Did he get GCMS? What do they say? Some applicants have gone through background checks first and then issued AOR - very few cases but they have.

Hi Guys,

Though off the topic from this forum, I am wondering if you can help me with the below concern.

I am planning to send my Passport in Candapost xpresspost envelope to Detroit (going to use my current residence address as a sender), and going to use my friend's name & address on the return xpresspost envelope as a receiver (guessing it may take one/two months and won't be able to receive it at that time). Do you guys think Detroit will be okay if I use my friend as a receiver.

Thanks

Gcms says that his application was received by them. But nothing related with the applicant's whereabouts. He moved cz he got a good job in another province.

When you apply for PNP one of the criteria is that you must have an "intent" to live in that province. Now what exactly do they mean by intent? He wants to move back to this province once he finds a good job there. Isn't that intent enough? He also has friends family and other ties in this province. They should not void his PR Application without interviewing him or something.

I dont think its taking that long, maybe 2-3 weeks max but due to holidays could be a delay. I dont know if it would be a concern as the mailing address mentioned on your PR application wont match your friends address.

So, I have same timeline as curt_cobain (applied in June 2011, medical november 2011) except she is PNP and I am QSW. Sharuu what do you think about my PPR when I should get it.

My mailing address on file is a PO Box address, so far I know PO Box doesn't allow xpresspost envelope ( I wish I can use that one). I am going to a Christmas camping, and my current residence mail box is not reliable. I am worried about Christmas time mishaps. Thanks for your reply though.
