Application received: July, 2011
Medical: April,2012
File Transfer from Buffalo to Ottawa: July 7, 2012
Get my first note: August 13, 2012: Med passed, Criminality-In progress, Security- Not started, BFD -Sept 9,. i did not hear any thing after then till Nov-05-2012 for PPR, advise to send PP to Detroit.

I think for the first three months (more or less) after PR you should be in the province considered in your application
I know this is true for getting medical card.

after, you can always move with no problem, although you should get related licenses and the medical card of the new province.

for PR, there is no restriction to live.

one of the few Good bugs in the process. they don't have control over PRs

My friend just got her PR. Applied May 2011 at buffllo. Transfered to Ottawa in May 2012. PNP applicant. DOne med June 2012.

For anyone interested, my country of origin is England, but I'm currently working in Montreal on a temporary work permit.

I didn't bother including my CSQ application information.
It's too depressing to think that I made that application in November 2010!
I'm not sure why my file was transferred so late. Everyone else is quoting dates earlier than 22nd July.
I'm at a loss at understanding why the federal part of this application is taking so long.

I've stopped holding my breath and crossing my fingers!
