BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Most of us got transferred that date!

my file went in process on 11july 2012. On may 4 2012 my file was in transferred to Seattle after buffalo shut down
so don't know like Ottawa put my file in process like all of u guys got.......... or Seattle did that thing to me. I called cic office
to en-quire who is working on my file. They said it is Seattle as far as they could see. ...My friend who applied on april 4 one day before me got a
passport request one month back. I don't understand how system works .........how many days does a gcms take to get back after we apply.

Hi guys, I got some great news to share, after waiting for almost 18 months, I got an email from the Ottawa today!!! yah!!! They are requesting the RPRF. I will have to send my passport to Detroit!


Btw, my ECAS status is still application received. So, the ecas is very unreliable.

Have you ever requested GCMS, if yes can you please share the GCMS with us i mean the group name, the recent notes and status of each activity. Your input will be appreciated.

Guys, the processing time in CIC website has changed (Detroit, NY, LA & Seatle) but no Ottawa!

a friend of mine (Applied in march 2011) got request from Detroit for passport request last week.
Does any1 know how long (on average) does it take for this consulate to issue the PPR visa on the passport? Also, is each consulate different i.e wrt the time it takes to issue the PPR visa???

Also, I am not sure but i've heard a few people mention that having any processing-@-Detroit==faster-processing?? does this hold any weight, or just a rumor?

My friend is sending his sending his mail via Canada post's Xpress-Post and also putting in a return envelope, so in his case, mailing shouldn't take more than 2 days. I would recommend every1 to do sale meme chose, because it's always secure to mail passports via registered mail.

Many congrats dothk. I believe we are seeing the first ppr for the transferred cases in this thread (or from Ottawa). Is it possible for you to share the e-mail if no personal information is attached? When was your file transferred to Ottawa?

Hi, the email is really long. At the beginning, it stated : The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. Our records indicate that we have not received payment for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF).

The rest of them is just the instruction telling me what to do next, like taking pics, submitting the photocopies of my passport ( i just found out I dont need to submit my original passport), paying the RPRF and sending everything to Detroit.

I dont even know when my file was transferred to Ottawa. But I am pretty sure it happend after May. Because I got my last GCMS notes in May, it didnt state anything about the transferral.

It took 30 business days when I last applied it

Hey Buddy..Congrats.. you said you don't need to send your original passport.. then how do they stamp the visa on it? I am confused.. Are you already in Canada?

Thank you ! Yes I did. I did it twice. In my last GCMS notes I got at the end of May, there was no Group name, no notes (it is blanked), status are as follow:
Eligibiliy: not started
Security: not started
Criminality: in progress
Medical: passed
