yea, patience is the key....totally agree with you. I just wanna quit my job and start looking for a new one. But this is not going to happen until I become a PR. I hope the the Ottawa VO can speed up their work. For those that are already hit 15 month mark, you are not alone~~~~

Anyway, this long waiting is not fun...Everyday, it is getting harder and harder. I constantly check my email, mail box and ecas status.....

I hear you.. I dont see anything happening anytime soon. I am sure we will get PPR before year end but I am guessing it might take another couple of months. It all depends how fast Ottawa deals with our files, but I think total processing time should be around 18 months. So, if you are already at 16 months, there might be a couple more months to wait!!

It is supposed to be a closed permit tied to your current employer as they sponsored you for PNP...

It seems applicants who applied to sydney, ottawa is dealing with their files also. So, even though we are in queue but they would have been transferred before us, around march april when they would have gotten aor. That is why they are getting ppr before us!

This whole PR process makes no sense to me at all. Every year CIC implements a new system promising to clear the backlog and reduce the processing times. Clearly, it has been a complete failure in achieving those goals. They have only made it faster for new applicants, the previous backlog is still there. Its just the matter of time when Sydney office would be on the same boat and then they will come up with another new system.. probably everyone would be sending their applications to Ottawa then. If you think about it, application processing should not take more than 4 weeks that including medicals, background checks and security and then other few weeks for visa stamping. CIC closed Buffalo due to budgetary issues, that makes no sense either. We are paying $950 per applicant and they are still not able to run visa offices. Funny Eh!!

I contacted my MP in regards to the status of my file. I was told that my file is in transit between Buffalo and Ottawa and it can take between 6-8 weeks for the transfer to happen. Now, I think IN PROCESS mean Buffalo sent it to Ottawa and its still in process of being transferred. That means another month and then the transfer will be complete and then when a VO at Ottawa comes around my turn will come..

MP is member of parliament, you contact them asking assistance for your case.

Shuru, in process means that ur file is in somewhere final steps--it doesnt mean file ir transfering----just my guess from my file information

file transfering not taking that long ---you can check from my file transfering timeline below------Softcopy of you file transfer same day and hard filt took 2-3 days --all below details are as per my Latest GCMS notes-----

- Any communication with Ottawa : Sent Ottawa email with attachment of copy of Alberta certificate MAy 10,2012
- Soft file transfered to Ottawa from buffalo: MAY 09,2012
- Paper file transfered sent to ottawa from Buffalo:May 14, 2012
- Paper file transfered complete ( to ottawa from Buffalo):May 16, 2012

- Ottawa acknowldge the receipt of copy of nomination certificate by email : MAy 15,2012

huh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,seattle has been proven the slowest vo ever!!! ppl have to wait for at least 3-4 months to get feedback from seattle. i guess the guy who got transferred to seattle is in BC.

I was told 6-8 weeks by the MP who contacted Ottawa and so that is what I mentioned earlier. I really dont know what to expect now, I am in process was hoping to hear something in june but that hasnt happened. I am not really sure when to expect it now! I am already around the 16 month mark so another 2-3 months maybe? Hopefully, before year end I might hear something. Did anything happen with your address on ecas around that time?

Me too I'm close to the 16 month mark.
But the worst part is that I work in the film industry in Saskatchewan and after the cut of the SEFTC (Saskatchewan Employment Film tax credit) by the provincial government. My company will be forced to laid off people. I'm sure I am in that list because I'm the newest one in this company. So, in this moment I'm freaking out to get any news regarding to immigration.
