I applied under the PNP program in April 2011. I did my medical in September 2011. Yet to hear anything from the buffalo office, in fact I don't even know where my file is ! I went through all the discussions here and am thinking about sending the GCMS request. But in the form I would have to state where my file is. I wrote to the Buffalo office, then sent the automated reply that all the files are being sent out to consulate across North America. I wrote to the Ottawa office, they sent a reply "If you are an applicant with a file being processed by this office we will contact you with further information once your file has been processed". I called the call center, but no one is picking up. It's so frustrating !

Do you people have any idea what might be going on and what can I do about it?

I had the same concern but I contacted the GCMS people and they said they will still be able to get notes for me as I put Buffalo as my VO..

I applied in April 2011 in buffalo as well, medical done in Oct.They just updated my address on Jun 2. Nothing else. I really want to quit my job as I hate it so much, and you guys have no idea what I have been suffering. After I renewed my WP, it's showing this company only. I don't know where my file is and what I can do. ???

I understand the frustration as I am a month before you and its tough but hang in there. For some consolation and peace of mind, try applying for GCMS Notes!

I am an apr applicant too.nothing on ecas no email.

When you say nothing on ecas, do you mean you can not access ECAS?

I wanted to. But after found out what happened to the Buffalo VO, I changed my mind.

I think rather pre guess how ottawa is stormed with applications we should contact MP as we should know the status of our applications, specially once we have crossed the 15 month mark.

Just saw a January applicant got PPR under CEC category. That is 5 months and it took me more time to get AOR!

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I applied on April and I did my medical exams on October.
The only thing that I noticed a few weeks ago is the address re-appeared on my ecas.
Also, I emailed Ottawa to see if my file was transferred there, but they replied with the generic answer.

Guys, we really need to stop worrying about what it says on ecas. It has been proven time and time again and again just yesterday with Sim that it means nothing really. Sim's said "Application received medical results received", it never went to "In Process" at all and she still got PPR. Some people have been put on "In Process" for ages without any progress.

Some might say address re appear and disappear means that there is some movement in the processing of your file, I am not truly convinced. When I emailed Buffalo in regards to my file they said give Ottawa 2 months before contacting them...

hi guys...i read all your worries...you are not all only one that have a similar problem.....me also and my all co workers here in small town of Manitoba have desame problem because of the buffalo vo closed, we all here 18 people pass the application between March to June 2011 and we done the medical last October 2011.... Don't be surprised if you read in some forum that almost applicant in August 2011 and up is already get the PPR because they submit their application in Sydney Nova Scotia because all applicant starting August 2011 they have a Generic form in their application. they are all computer generated and have a bar code in there application, after they send in nova scotia the nova scotia send the application in CPPO-Ottawa that's why they all fast to get PPR. We, applicant in buffalo our papres are not moving because of closure, but if one of us is request a passport this month or maybe next month i think that is the singed that we are all in the next in line every week. Guy's dont worry it will be come......patience is the key.... by the way my tme line is Application Received june 22 2011, medical done October 21 2011.....and like i said to you guys we all here 18 person that have a desame situation.....we are MPNP steam

It does give some consolation when we hear that there are others with us, but it tends to get more difficult with time. For those whose timeline has exceeded 15 months its more difficult but there is nothing that can be done than wait.

Is it what it suppose to be? I was expecting a open permit.

yea, patience is the key....totally agree with you. I just wanna quit my job and start looking for a new one. But this is not going to happen until I become a PR. I hope the the Ottawa VO can speed up their work. For those that are already hit 15 month mark, you are not alone~~~~

Anyway, this long waiting is not fun...Everyday, it is getting harder and harder. I constantly check my email, mail box and ecas status.....

It is supposed to be a closed permit tied to your current employer as they sponsored you for PNP...
