Hey guys, seems that CIC is finally getting back to us "transferries"!

I have a question now: have you guys all received an email when your medical test was being re-examined for an extension?

My MP told me all the checks have passed for me, and they requested an extension on my medical test. However, I haven't received any email from CIC. I was promised the good ol' "several weeks", so it shouldn't be too bad after all.

I think I'll plan to do an Inland landing. But really depends on expiry dates for COPR and waiting time to book an appointment.
As I see it I have 3 options (in order of preference)
1) INLAND depending on time taken to book an appointment
2) Rent a car and drive to North Portal. But its winter and I have never driven in Canada before - but I do have a licence. (or on the right!)
3) Since I am visa exempt I think I can fly out, take a day's vacation somewhre interesting and fly back.

Thanks for your best wishes

I wonder how long it will take to get an appointment.. 1 month?

They will not re-examine you, rather get your medical results extended instead. You will not be contacted unless a medical exam is required. It shouldnt be too long as there has been quite a few people who have gotten PPR lately ...

Nice! I meant re-examination on the paperwork level. Having me to pay for actual medical tests would really make me pissed at this point! :P

PS: Thanks, and happy belated PPR!

Hi everybody,

I am a pnp secondary applicant while my husband is the main applicant. Does anyone know whether I am eligible to apply for open work permit as a "pnp applicant" or not? (My husband is not working right now so I can't apply depending on his job contract or employment confirmation letter).

I dont think dependants are eligible for permits based on PNP Certificate.
