Finger prints on 15 Dec means perhaps you got your report around 15 Feb 2010 or later. This report is valid till one year that means 15 Feb 2011. Chances are LA office might not ask for new report at least till Feb 15 2011. Final words are yours.

You can get report based on existing fingerprints if you have not entered the date till now. I meant, if you enter current date then FBI won't object & process the request. I am not sure how they will react if that form has Dec 15 2009 date.

good luck.
I think you should be fine. I got my last FBI July 2009, so it's more than a year when my file was sent to NYC office. And they just want to double check security with a new one. and FYI they also confirm via email that the FBI can be updated later than 60 days from the Med Req date ;).

its dead silence.. this week... who are those lucky folks got updates..

mine is still received by visa office...

Still "Received by visa office", why???????????????????????????????

I check Ecas every morning, no updates every time, when...???????

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

i am also in the same boat but mine file is transferred to new york...........till now "received at visa offcie

Somebody (torotonian2x or gte439) said the other day that if you're close to a year from the date you submit the application to CIC, you should be able to get something soon. I got the same feeling though. Wait for at least 90 days from the transfer date, then contact the VO and see what happened. If something's wrong, you can fix that easily. Good luck all!!

Please don't worry. My status changed to 'in process' on August 13, 2010, and I've heard nothing. Having canvassed several threads on this forum, the visa office can take anywhere from 2 to 20 weeks to request the medical exam.

So I guess I'm super lucky guy then ;). Keep my finger crossed and everything will be ok :)

Smallduck, thanks again for your encouragement. Yesterday I received the Med Request which is dated Aug 30. You are right, I live in Upstate New York, that may make the difference. ;D

We have a baby due early Feb 2011. We are thinking about go ahead with Meds for everything except my wife's X-ray. Then amend the application with new baby's checkup and my wife's X-ray in later Feb. Is this right approach? Or should I postpone everybody's exams until Feb 2011. The former one makes sense to me. I appreciate inputs from anybody. A million thanks.

Don't worry, dude. I live in the city (NYC), so the regular mail take one days to reach me. If you're far from the city, wait few more days for the good news to come. Cheapo mail takes at least 7-10 business days to be delivered ;).

I did not send my birth certificate with my initial set of documents to buffalo but I still got my 2nd aor...I got one from the city which I was born in and sent it this week with a cover letter stating that I forgot to attach with my initial set of documents...do you think this was a good idea or should i have waited till VO asked for it?...by the way i got y 2nd aor on april 28, 2010 and my ecas status is still "received by VO"...

any thoughts?...

This was good idea.
Once VO will look into your file, they will ask for missing docs. You have saved process time for your case by 1-2 months.
As of my best of info, VO ask for doc with in given no. of days, and they check your file only after given deadline; so even if you send the doc next day, they will review your file after given deadline.
I am not sure if assumption is correct entirely or not but you have saved processing time for your case.

I think your first thought make more sense. Just submit initial result without the X-ray. You'll be asked to submit the X-ray report before your passport got stamped. If you're still worried, attach the letter explain your situation or you might ask the doctor at your DMP

Their is a option if you want to choose, you can used protractive shield (as far I know from my GP and online search it doesn't harm) and send the complete Med's if you got visa before Feb your baby can be born in Canada, may be safe you some waiting and hasel ask your GP as well because it also depends on women's health conditions. Congrats on Med

Thank you all for the suggestions on the pregnancy concern. I'll take all the medical exams except the X-ray for my wife. Don't want to be off subject, but what's the likelihood to get rejection if the main applicant quit the job before the baby's birth? Will the main applicant's qualification be reevaluated when the Visa Officer receive the supplementary X-ray results with updated the immigration forms (to update the new family member)? Please help. This is my last question to this thread. I promise, I promise.
