I sent an email to Buffalo Office enquiring abt my Status : they send me this email..

Your file is in a queue awaiting initial assessment. This could take up to 64 weeks from the date we received the application.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) frequently does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.
Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

Can some one tell me is this the same type of email you guys received if you send the enquiry email ?? And what does it mean by waiting in queue for Initial Assessment, when I already received my second AOR on 1st May 2010..

Any Suggestions ??

i sent en email yesterday and got the same reply

It is regular reply to tell you that your case is in queue and you should be patient for next 64 weeks. this is regular reply, so please do not be panic. My documents were reached buffalo March third week and movement to my case happened this week that is after 4 months... Same thing is with other applicant, if you analyze list in above post, you will come to know that you are not alone & other people are also with you. Apart from that sometime few cases are processed fast & few takes slightly more time based on the circumstances, document provided & presentation of documents. (no negative news is good news) Try to be relax that's may be helpful....

i really dont know is it Buffalo actually delaying the process of FSW 3 apps or it is the general process delays it... quite confused..

my frnds got their PR in 8months when they applied in 2008.. they tells me applying from inside Canada is faster than applying from outside.. but i think now its the other way around.. after seeing folks applying from India getting their PR in months time makes me more frustrating...

at the end of day.. we have to wait for our turn.. hope for the best for everyone in Aug (atleast).. God willing

Pooja the exam was $853! But it's for 2 so if it's just you cut it in half. I was surprised by what little the exam entailed. The sheet the MD fills out is I think 4 pages or so. Main thing is urinalysis, blood test for HIV and syphilis and chest x-ray. He listened to our lungs asked a few questions and that was it. He didn't ask for immunizations etc. I am to call in 2 weeks for tracking number. My paperwork also said they are planning to process without interview but reserve to ask for one as processing goes on.
