If you need to visit back home for couple of month then do not change your visa office. If you opt to transfer your app to another visa office, the time your application has spent at bufflo will not be considered. don't worry about short term visit.

Hi all,,,

I have submitted my full documents to the buffalo visa office on April 5th And right now my e cas status shows in process with same RBVO details. It's been more than 64 weeks since my file is in bufflo VO... and I am very confuse about sending case specific inquiry to them..

So, please input your suggestion in this situation....

Peace

Thanks zulkfal,

While change of visa office happens in rare situations, it is not impossible. It is however in the discretion of the VO to transfer the file or not. I now understand that file transfers are not made on the request of the applicant. I hope everything goes well for us.

Hey there!!
Until 2 weeks ago, my status was the same, as you know, same with the CAIPS results, there was nothing in there but the age points.. Even now although it says "in process" there, the details are the same, so who knows how long it will take..
I know it's so frustrating, and usually no matter what people say, u feel like your file will stay as RBVO forever, but it won't. Eventually there will be a progress maybe this week maybe next week but I believe it will be soon. Just try to be patient and stay positive. I'm goin thru the whole process of renewal of LMO and work permit, just because my file is not finalized yet.. but what can we do, we have to wait...
Burcu hanim mesajinizi aldim fakat cevap yazamiyorum bana mailinizi mesaj atarsaniz bu sekilde haberlesebiliriz.

I sent an email to buffalo visa office and this is the reply:

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from INSERT MONTH/YR RECEIVED HERE during the current calendar year. If we are able to initiate processing earlier, we will contact you.

In my case it is already more then 64 weeks since I got my 2nd AOR. Now, I just do not know what should I do? Should I go for medical in advance or wait for their call?

What is your e-cas status?

Its "in process" with RBVO details
Have you requested CAIPS after your status changed to "in process" ?
It's been more than 64 weeks for me as well and it's been in process for only a month now with RBVO details.
We had done our medicals in advance, after confirming with Buffalo that the only risk of doing it in advance is
since it's valid for 1 year only, it may expire. I don't think it will take another full year for our cases to finalize.
So if I were you I would get the medicals done, and also would request CAIPS to see what is happening with my file.
Other than that you can contact your local MP and try get an update, or you can wait until your medicals are received by
the visa office and then request CAIPS.
Like said before we are all on the same boat, it's been more than 64 weeks for most of us with no updates, hopefully
we will get our PRs by the end of this year...

Thanks for your reply...
As you said I already received my CAIPS but there is no new info in there. Even the BFD on the CAIPS is 05/05/2011 which is long gone and they haven't calculated my points except 10 for the age. So, my thinking is, they haven't started even initial assessment on my file.

By the way, If I want to do medical in advance, How can I get the forms for that?

any input from your side will be appreciated....

You just go to one of the DMPs that is on CIC's list and they have the forms there. At the top there is a section that says visa office-number, usually when they send you the forms that field is already completed, but you can just put your visa office file number there, or put one of the bar-code stickers they have sent you. In my case the doctor was very old, and the secretary didn't know much, they didn't have any patient doing medicals in advance before, and they didn't want neither to put the sticker on or write the file number, finally I managed to write the file number there, I've contacted Buffalo and they have my medicals, so I guess both way works :) I will order another CAIPS soon to see if they have updates on my file or is it still just the age points, we'll see.... ::)

boy do i feel stupid.. i did my meds in advance.. and i put my file number in the name section of the forms.. i hope they see that file number and my results get tagged onto my file.
