Bsf186 (b4) and bsf186a (b4a) forms

I would be grateful if you helped me on these forms.

I don’t know which form is for the goods that we are carrying along when landing as a newcomer and which form is for the goods to follow later on.

Would you help me with that?

In my understanding, you can also list the goods/value you carry on an excel spreadsheet and do another one for goods to follow.

I was told these bsf186/a forms are not mandatory.
