Hi,

My husband and I did soft landing last March and we stayed there until last July. After that, we went back to our country. At that time, we didn't submit the BSF 186 form to the officer, and he told us we should submit that later when we come back to Canada. We are thinking to go back to Canada on this August. We lived in 3-4 countries before and we rent the storages instead of moving our stuff to the next country we live. Now, we are thinking to move them all to Canada. I have several questions about BSF 186 and 186A.
1. Since we have to move our stuff from different countries, are things on BSF 186 and 186A need to be delivered to Canada at the same time or can be several times?
2. I bought something outside Canada after our soft landing. Can I list those things on BSF 186 Form?
3. Is there expiration date for BSF 186 form? That is, if we submit the form on August 2021, can we move our stuff without being taxed on September 2022?

Thank you in advance.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1) Can be brought to Canada at different times
2) Yes, you can list those things. Read the guidelines - there should be something that tell you how long you need to own the things before you can move things without paying duties.
3) No expiry date. You can even complete moving stuff by 2025!
