Bringing personal effects

I would to move with some modular furniture I purchased about a year ago (Not very expensive furniture, but since my move will be within driving distance it would be more cost-effective to bring my existing furniture than to leave it and buy new in Canada). My plan is to disassemble it and pack it back up in the original boxes. It is still in fairly new condition. Should I expect any hassle; will they think it is new and expect me to pay tax? Any advice/personal experiences with bringing furniture?

Have you indicated that in your original B4? If so, it will not be taxed.

Steaky,

What if the person doesn't have his PR case approved yet? And decides to come as a tourist and he bring households items such a furnitures, tv, etc. from the US?
