Hello!

Hope everyone is enjoyed their Black Fridays :)

Since most of the CEC applicants are currently residing in Canada when PR is issued, I wanted to know if we are allowed to bring in personal effects (that will not be taxed) when landing.

If you reside outside of Canada, you are allowed to bring personal effects into Canada from your home country (eg furniture). Does this same provision apply to immigrants who are already living in Canada and only doing a "flagpole" during the landing procedure?

Any kind of info would help!

Not as far as I am aware. The exemptions require that you are currently residing outside the country and only apply to the initial return at the start of residence for a period of more than 12 months.
