Bridging work permit more than once

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever applied for BOWP more than once? I am not talking about multiple applications at one time, but a new application once the old one is expired. Is that possible?

Does anyone know if there is a reference on cic website regarding this?

Also, since I have a wife, is it possible to send her renewal application at the same time I am sending a renewal for my own?

Hi,

Yes, you are eligible to apply for the second times as long as your applications are under the PR processing,

Hi, I'm CEC - March 2014 applicant. I applied for BOWP second time on April 22nd, 2015 however have not received it yet 8). My previous one expired on May 8th, 2015. As long as your application is in process you can apply for BOWP. Friend of mine did it in January this year, received in March. Few days after his previous BOWP expired.

nothing heard from CIC at all and its been over 15 months.

you can applty for second work permit without any doubt.. suggrsting with personal exp.

Yes, you can submit both applications together.

Wow.. Thank you very much guys.. Finally, I can erase my worry..

As for my own situation, I am a CEC under process applicant. Application was received by CIC on July 10, 2014 and AOR was on September, 2015. I have renewed my open work permit so many times, which the current one is the first bridging work permit I ever received. This one expires this year on November, which needs to be renewed again..

Why do you need to make a paper and online application? I assume that you applied on paper first and wanted to apply online to make it faster??? The paper application is only 4 - 5 days longer than the online application as of today's processing time. When did you submit your application? If you have not submitted one, then make an online submission. They will provide update to your email once a month. Moreover, you can check online on your application status anytime.

Right now, it takes a longer time to process. However, assuming that you provided sufficient information and explanation, your application should be approved. Be patient, good luck!

I need first to apply for a OWP again and then request for a BOWP?

Please, can you clarify the steps and forms that I should use in this situation?
