I applied for my bridging visa (BOWP) on September 13th via the paper route. I had my AOR and all of the necessary documents with it so I can't see it being rejected. The only thing is, I am still waiting for it but I have flights booked home to Ireland in mid December for 2 weeks. I am currently on implied status as my current visa has expired. I know that if I come back to Canada without a bridging visa, I lose my implied status and have to stop working. Here are my questions:
1: If I leave mid-December, can I still work for my Canadian employer as long as I don't come back and lose my status or do I lose it once I leave the country?
2: If my status stays even if I'm in Ireland, if I get my BOWP posted to Ireland when it comes through, I can just come back on that right?
Thanks!
