Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) - Eligibility/ Instructions updated on CIC

I didn't pay the $100 fee, only the $155. They received my application on February 9. This new fee (Open Work Permit Holder) was put in place on February 21. Do you guys think my application should be fine then? I tried calling CIC all afternoon but only got the message that they were experiencing high volume of calls and couldn't forward my call.

I hope my application goes through. I wonder if I could pay this fee separately and send the receipt as case specific... Please advise guys..

As the new fee change came into force on Feb 20th and you applied on Feb 9th, I think you should be good. They might ask you to pay the additional fee of $100.
If they think otherwise they might have rejected by now.

Thank you rasber! I will try to call CIC tomorrow morning see what they say. I will keep you guys posted. Anyone else here in the same situation??

They have updated the processing times today. It's going really slowww.
Online applications: March 7th and 68 days.

I submitted it on March 10th so I hope they tell me something this week.

I finally was able to get a hold on a CIC agent. He told me that applications received by Vegreville before February 21 are exempt of the extra $100 fee.

My application was received on February 9, therefore the total fee should be of $155.

He also checked the status of my BOWP application and informed me that it has been approved ;D I couldn't be happier at this moment!! (Approved on May 19 according to him)

Yes! everyone used EE AOR so far.

I would like to know as when i am applying for BOWP can i apply for my wife and dependant child. My wife, isnt working. Is there any criteria for that.

i'm filling out IMM5710 form now and I have some questions

I submitted my pr application through EE around Apr 15 under CEC with valid LMO till Aug 1, 2015, i'm currently working in canada and have received the automatic AOR from the system. Some questions that I have no idea how to answer and need some suggestions.

question 3

1. A work permit with the same employer
2. An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
3. restoration of your status as a worker
4. temporary resident permit

I'm not sure if i should choose 1 or 2?? i'm applying for birding open work permit but having LMO now and will work in the same company till i get my PR.

I have choose Canada and status is worker then have no idea how to answer the date.

I have old work permit from Feb 26, 2013 - Feb 2, 2014 and new work permit Feb 25, 2015 - Aug 1, 2015.

Yes, you can apply BOWP for spouse, however with the change of instructions on BOWP I am not sure if you can use your automated AOR.

For question 2, I have selected the option 2. An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer.
For question 7, you need to put your wp expiry date Aug 1, 2015.

Hi Guys,

I am applying under NOC 2174 with a CRS score 432. When can I expect to get an ITA?

Currently I have a close work permit with my employer which is in Toronto. And my employer wants to send me back to India after 6 month as my project work is going to over. However my current close work permit is valid till Sept 2016. Is there any other way I can try for open work permit/PNP/LMIA?
