Hi Everyone,
I am in a unique situation and hoping to get some advice. Me and my partner, who is a Canadian citizen and a sponsor of my PR application are separating. Our application is still being processed and we have not yet withdrawn. It is already past OWP and Medical, Background check is being processes.
I have two questions:
1. My OWP that I just received few months ago states that it expires in 2022, which is a little less than 2 years from now and I was wondering, in the worst case scenario where my partner withdraws the PR application, will I be able to continue working until expiry date on my permit, or does my permit get revoked due to the application withdrawn?
2. What options do I have for my PR? I would still like to remain in Canada and eventually receive my PR, but would that be possible without having a sponsor?
Thank you.
