BOWP - You need to apply at least 30 days before your current work permit expires. Is this true?

Hey guys, based on info here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/permit/temporary/extend.html

It says "You need to apply at least 30 days before your current work permit expires."

Can I still apply for BOWP if I have less than 30 days until my current OWP expires? Please help.
