BOWP - September 2015 Applicants

I received an email that an update has been done on my bowp application but when I logged in, nothing was updated. Did anyone encounter something similar ?

Yes. This happens everytime. Don't worry. If your status has not changed, ignore it. I received the same email the first time and now the second time I applied for the BOWP. Seems like a bug or something.

Hello Guys
I applied my BOWP for me and my wife on August 11, 2015 and today I received e-mail from CIC that my application for temporary resident has been approved.
It took 90 days for process.

Was yours online application?

Yes it's online. Hopefully, it will be approved soon. It still shows open status. I applied Sept 18

Today I got a message in MyCIC, it was not approval it was this:

"Client Information: Receipt of information from client In order to continue processing your application, please submit your Acknowledgement of Receipt letter from the province of Alberta. This must be received at this office by: 2015/11/19"

This is odd, right? I only have the CEC AOR and nothing from Alberta? I will submit my AOR with an explanation I guess - any ideas?

Update: I called the call centre and the lady believes they meant the AOR from CIO and to submit that. Seems odd that they are asking for it when they have it on file? Anyway, I submitted an explanation letter with the AOR this morning.

I forgot to upload my AOR, but I applied for a BOWP for the second time, so they should already have it. However, how do they expect you to submit it? Can you upload it to your account or do you have to simply send it via email?

They opened up a field in the application to upload another letter of explanation. I didn't include it with my first BOWP so I didn't for this one. Maybe they have new staff?

Btw I am August 31 BOWP applicant so it looks like they are moving quite fast now!

Wow! They reduced the processing time to 70 days then!

yeah, there have been processing time improvements for work permit applications.

Nope, the call centre lady said 'still in progress' and I didn't push for any more information. As long as I get this second BOWP I will be happy enough

I just received an email on my BOWP application update. Applied on 27th Sep online. I think this is first ghost mail

Hi All

Looking on myCic at the page that has all my applications including my Express Entry application and BOWP application the status next to my BOWP has updated to Approved where before it said submitted.

However when I go into it via Check Status and Messages nothing has changed

Application/profile status Open
Review of medical results Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
Review of biometric information Not needed at this time
A final decision has been reached Not Started

I'm not 100% sure I'm eligible for this visa so don't want to call CIC to see what they have to say. Has anyone had this happen to them and it's just an error.? I'm so scared of celebrating in case it's just a technical glitch.
