BOWP + PGWP for Spouse (waiting for PR)

Hi everyone,

I have a question about extending my current work permit and I was wondering if anyone here had a similar experience and can help me. I have the following situation, me and my wife are applying for extending our current visa while we are waiting for our PR application to be completed (we've applied through a Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program). We already got the AOR that make us elegible for the BOWP (Bridging Work Permit).

With our current permits expiring soon we need to apply for an extension as soon as possible but we're not sure what would be the best strategy for that. One of the options we are considering is BOWP requested by me (PA of the PR application) and for my wife under same application requesting a Work Permit to her. The second option would be two distinct applications, one for me through the BOWP and another one to my wife through the PGWP (she just graduated and got all requirement documents for that).

Is there any implication for two distinct applications for a couple?
Can anyone here comment on applying together with the spouse for the BOWP?

If you are applying for a BOWP and her for a PGWP, they would be separate apps submitted by each of you individually, not submitted together.
