BOWP - May Applicants

Is here anyone who was on LMO work permit & got BOWP ?
My work permit is getting expired on 26th Oct & I applied for bowp on 18th Sep & people are scaring me that LMO work permit holders don't get bowp, only open work permit holders are eligible for bowp.

Please advise on this !!

Thats false.. i have seen many LMO wp holders getting BOWP on this forum.. so do not worry!

Thanks Sen_1911, I phoned, they said the same.... they are going to review with "the office"?

She said they have had many reports of this issue.

I am on the same timeline as you (june 1st online applicant), called up the agent today and they told me, it is unusual that your application was not touched. He promised to send a note for the concerned team about this, usually they would reply in a day or two in the best case.. So I would suggest you to call them...

So far there are 4 ppl who haven't received their BOWP even after normal processing time (me-June1 , deaney-May31 , mel713-May11 and one other paper applicant from June ) .

If any of you have faced similar situation plz share your experience as how u dealt with it , it may help us .

Nope. I got a new closed work permit at the border about 6 weeks ago so I am pretty sure it will be refused anyways.

May 11th online is still waiting, and I called after seeing that they are now working on May 16th applications.
The agent sent a msg to processing centre, and told me to wait to hear a reply from processing centre and keep waiting for decision. If don't hear anything call Call centre again. It seems like in endless circles now.

I can't express my frustration in words. Call center agent keep saying that file is in process. Least they can do is to tell us the reason for delay.

Feel stuck and timing is really bad. Just got rough estimate for my wife's delivery $7000-10,000 as our OHIP expires tomorrow.

Planning to contact MP next week , but from what I see all they can do is get status for us .

I just called the contact center also.....

Same response, long pauses on the phone. Made to feel like I am the problem here.

"Its in progress" I asked "but why are they processing June 20th if mine is not complete?".... *yawn* same again... "We will contact you if we need anything".

Do any of us have the same circumstances?

1. From visa exempt country = UK
2. CEC May 2014 applicant, under final review. MR done - 3 lines showing on ECAS.
3. Currently on implied status (current WP expired in August).

So today new timelines were released. Since my last post they have skipped 4 weeks now taking them up to 5th July.

I have had 0 updates on my application.
