Did you apply for the BOWP on your own ? ( online application )

Reason I am asking is my attorney did it on my behalf and I was later trying to see the status by creating a MYCIC account but unfortunately even after entering all the credentials like Application number and UCI number I was unable to link my application or even find it for that matter. So now for any update I have to rely on my attorney.

To be more specific..I got mine OWP on 10th March 2015 & later I applied(20th March 2015) for my spouse OWP & My kid visitor status & awaiting,

My Fellow Friends, I had my status in eCAS changed to "we started processing your application on 20 May 2015" and today the CIC Agent told me that your CoPR is being prepared to be sent out.

Any idea how long this might take.

My BOWP is still "Open" and I assume it will be cancelled by the VO, right?

Congrats man...that's a great update.

Did the CIC agent tell anything about your Criminality and Security checks?

I believe the Eligibility is passed coz i think that the third line appears when you have cleared Eligibility.

Also I don't think your BOWP will be cancelled by VO coz when I checked with my attorney a while ago she mentioned that they would only cancel it if you have already landed under your PR application.

However I am not too sure about this since I don't have any first hand information regarding the same.

Kent, did not ask about security and criminality but I do recall these were still "in progress" a couple of weeks back.

My intuition tells me that the application goes into "in process" when all 4 are passed and "in process" I think means the issuing of CoPR, PPR, etc - i.e. the finalization that is mentioned in the GCMS notes.

If yours is in "In process" you should be done soon.

I paid RPRF upfront too ............ hey mate, call CIC and see where your application is at, I am sure you are in the same stage as mine - all set to go. It takes a while to get through at present, always experiencing a high volume of calls

Yaah man I just called CIC ,,,looks like they are not ready to discuss any application < 12 or 13 months since that is the average processing time..

BTW, my decision was made on 26 May, so that was 6 days after eCAS went in "we started processing your application .........."

I got an email over the weekend that my application has been updated but nothing has changed online till now. I am 23rd March applicant so wasn't expecting it anyways.. But then what does the mail mean? Did anyone have a similar experience i.e. No updates even after 2 days of getting the mail?

I got two "update" emails and although my application on line still shows as "Open", I have already got a letter from the financial people at CIC returning $100.

And my PR application went into "in process" on 20 May and yesterday I had the forth line added "decision has been made". I wonder if my application is now going to be cancelled as I am just about to get my PR.

My CIC status is shown below:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on April XX, 2014.

2.We started processing your application on May XX, 2015.

3.Medical results have been received.

4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

I got the same message on last week friday evening, but no update in CIC page. I am March 18th applicant and no mails from cic and no update till date.

Hey from what i am hearing if they have refunded your 100$ does that mean they are not going to approve your BOWP?

Also if PR gets approved and one has not landed do they have a Valid status in Canada?
