You should expect by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.. make sure to inform us once it is approved.

Thanks again for your valuable suggestions. I didn't apply for my spouse & Kid while applying for BOWP. Now after approval of BOWP what should I do for them. Both of them were in visitor permit & expiry is 07th May 2015.

Hey Guys and Girls,

I have applied for BOWP in December 30. 2014 on paper. I'm still waiting for the decision and probably won't get the answer anytime soon since they have increased the processing time to 103 days. Meantime I have to travel home in the mid of April to sort out a few urgent family related issues but honesty I don't expect the BOWP arrival until that date. Anyone with any suggestion how can I return to the country? I'm from a visa exempt country though.. Should I ask my buddy to mail it to my my place in Europe if it would arrive while I'm gone?

Hello Guys,

I have Two questions If someone has confirmed information regarding these please advise.

Q1: As we are applying online do we need to send the payment receipt to CIC as its mentioning in bottom of the receipt we need to send ?
Q2: I received a confirmation e-mail and read below my confirmation e-mail is it your e-mail is same ?
When will CIC contact me?
You are expected to provide a COPY of your passport with your electronic application. If CIC needs your physical
passport, CIC will request that you submit it to our office. CIC will also contact you if we require additional information,
documents or an interview. For general guidance on what to expect, you can visit
or consult the “What Happens Next” section of the instruction guide
associated with the application form you used.

Or its just a me they are saying about my passport ?

Guys finally my application status changed & now it's saying "This application has been approved", feeling relaxed. I was 7th Jan applicant. Special thanks to all of them who supported during my tense time.

How many days I would be getting new work permit through mail?

Did you get any email informing of the change of status or you just checked on mycic and discovered the change? I am a Jan 16th applicant but no updates so far.

I received bowp approval today. However the letter is dated 9 March but been e mailed only today.

You should get email when the status changed.. it seems 19th applicant also got approval today..
hope u should receive in couple of days, wait for 2 more days and call cic call center if you wont't see any updates..

I applied for BOWP, based on my EE file AOR,...but I forgot to upload one important document in online application, any idea, how can I update my work permit application through MyCIC a/c...??

Please let me know asap, if any one has experienced this situation before..

I got BOWP approved on 10th March & automated pdf is saying Type "Permit - WP-EXT / Permis - PT-PROR". I applied for Open work permit, does anyone knows what does it mean?

Hi guys,
How much for the open work permit holder fee? I apply my bowp ang also help my spouse to apply too. When I finish my on eligible questions, there are 2*$155 =310 for the work permit fee, and1*$100=100 for the open work permit holder fee. Why there is just one open work permit holder fee for us, should I pay for two open work permit holder fees for my spouse and I? Or just one is fine?
