BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Have a question,
Do we need to submit any Medical form, as it is saying on the document checklist?
Also do we need to sign the explanation letter?

How long after the online approval, does it take to receive the physical copy of the work permit?

Mine was approved on 17-Jan and i receieved it on 21-Jan

Here's something interesting - I applied for a paper based (snail mail) LMIA work permit prior to my online BOWP application. I since requested it to be withdrawn as I didn't need it anymore.

Yesterday I got an email update to my application! Has anyone else received an email update to a snail mail application??

Quick question for those who have applied by paper. Do you get a work permit application number? I applied using a representative and I want to call CIC to see what's going on (more than 100 days since I applied) but, when I do, the automated system asks me about my application number.

Any idea of how to get that number?

Call CIC and ask.. if they have started processing BOWP then the call centre might see it on your profile..

The only way I got my application number was when the application was processed. When I emailed to withdraw I just used my UCI and receipt reference.

I am still waiting aor but cc has been charged, wp applied on 26 November - paper application.

We applied for bowp on paper November 28th, no news which is good because we still don't have our AOR

No, BOWP is only if you are in Canada.

You can ... Same situation to me 1 year back.. I applied with my friend address, left Canada.. He received my bowp after 2 months then he posted.. I applied VISA based on bowp from backhome and now I m in Canada.. hope it helps u..
