BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Just Checked my application status in My CIC and surprized to see all three of my applications (My BOWP, My Spouse's Open Work Permit and my Child's 'Visitor Record') are in "Approved" status.

Have no clue when was it approved. Usually the system will send notifications when there is a change in status or a new message. CIC has approved the applicatins but not updated the messages, still shows the old two messages posted during the Application Submission and Application Transmission "In Process" stages. Strange!!!

Now my question is How will i receive my documents? Will I get the hard copy of the documents to my home address or just the soft copies to my email? can someone answer, please?

I believe they will send you the hard copy by mail.

May I ask when did you submit your online application?

Gr8 SVB, I think U R going to get the permits through mail to your residence.

I applied on 3rd and still waiting. When I checked myCIC it does not say anything and got blocked. I have to try now this afternoon after 24 hrs. The website asks so many questions and just does not show any results for me. mine was applied through Employer.

You need your CG key Details to check the status of your applications. If you applied through your employer, you have to ask the details (security questions and answers) which they provided while creating the Login. If you enter the wrong answeres, it will block your login.

does CIC reject for incorrect digital photograph or they ask to send good copy again?

FYI, I just received one of those 'your application has been updated' emails for both my BOWP and my husband's SOWP applications, but like others have experienced, there is no update in MyCIC.

Looking through the thread it looks like others have received this email on a weekend before, then had the status change to approved in a couple of days. Fingers crossed that is what will happen to me!

I need suggestions for my next steps whle waiting for my CEC AOR which i applied on Oct 9th.
My current WP is expiring on 7th Feb 2015
Visa is expiring on 26th Jan 2015

On seeing the current timeline, looks like i may not receive my AOR by Feb 7th (going by wrost case), so can i apply for a paper BWOP without AOR in last week of Jan? Will it be considered as Implied status or do i need to apply for a visitor visa now before i apply for a BOWP?

Please suggest

I suggest wait till the penultimate day of your work permit.. If u don't receiev AOR till a day before work permit expiry than apply paper based bowp.. It should be fine you don't need to apply for anything else and u can continue your current job under implied status

Hie Guys,
I would like to inform you all that i applied for a BOWP without AOR as a paper application on 7th of October, and it got approved on 4th of December.
I would like to thank you all for the guidance.
In my case my Open Work permit expired on 8th of October and since then i was on implied status. The new open work permit issued is for One Year.
