Do we need LMO to apply for BOWP? I thought AOR is enough??

yes, your AOR is enough. You don't need any LMO in order to apply for the BOWP.

I haven't receive any mail or update from cic regarding for BOWP.

However, when I have checked through online - mycic tool. It is showing below things.

Details in online tool : Approved.
Application Status : Closed
A final decision has been reached : This application has been approved

HI Everybody..

I have my AOR and I am going to apply for BOWP. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have my post graduation work permit which is going to expire next month. and my wife SOWP going to expire on the same day as mine.

I am principle applicant for CEC and my wife is dependent.

1) Can my wife and me apply at the same time in the same application or two different applications.

2) Is my wife going to apply BOWP or SOWP.

3) If she is going to apply under SOWP should I have any job offer.

Can you please answer these questions as it is really confusing to me especially work permit to my wife. I am clear with my process but not able to understand how to extend my wife work permit

I got my approval for BOWP online and am waiting for the official document. I have to renew my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) now and had the following questions:

1) Is it better to apply online like BOWP or by paper as we still have to send passport though both have same processing time?
2) In the application, there is a section called Details of visit to Canada: Purpose of visit, length of stay, funds available and person where i'll stay. So how should i fill this section as am already working in canada? Can i leave it blank?
3) In document checklist for within canada applicants if mailing application, its written to send employment letter if working in Canada but when i'm applying online after generating the code, it doesn't require that in supporting documents. So if i apply by paper, do i have to send employment letter?

Will appreciate the help!

For applying TRV, it depends on your requirement. If you need to travel immediately without any tensions related to your TRV, I would suggest you to apply Online. So it will be easy for you to send the passport from your own country and the visa office of your own country once the Online TRV application is approved. If you dont need to travel for next 3-4 months, I would suggest you to apply through paper based application.

I had the same experience during the last Xmas. I had applied for my wife's TRV Online and it took lot of time for getting the approval of her Visa. By then I had already travelled to my own country on a vacation. For the Visa stamping I had the choice of sending it to the visa office in my country (India and Delhi). So my vacation was smooth without any tensions.

How odd.

I logged into the MyCIC this morning and it has been approved and closed. No email or anything. Not sure when it was approved. It does not say.

Applied on the 22nd September.

Got my BOWP in the mail.. I assume it arrived on Friday, October 17th 2014 but i only checked on the 18th 2014.

I had applied via paper based application on August 21, 2014.... I did it without an AOR at the time and to date still did not receive an AOR... So i guess Luck and prayers played a big part... They had issued the Work Permit on Sept 26, 2014 for 1 year.... I guess there was a mailing delay....

Omg i know ChrisK... it was stressing me out so much coz i didnt want to have to leave Canada... Thank god it worked out.. Atleast i got the workpermit extended... wheewww.... ;D

My Application is approved which is submitted on Sep 18th and also for a surprise my Wifes application which is submitted on Sep 29th is also Approved (No email alert for both of us)

Can someone suggest timeline to receive the physical work permit in hand
