BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Did any one get approval lately?

I applied on Mar.13 and got approved.

Applied Online: March 07
Approved: March 21
Received visa in mailbox: March 27

Yes I applied on Mar 14th and got it approved today, Mar 28th. ;D

CIC gives the following information if BOWP application is approved:
"If your application is approved, we will send you a letter and instructions on how to get the visitor visa, work and/or study permit you applied for.
This letter will be sent to your account."

Does this means we have to follow some set of process again to get the physical copy of BOWP? Does not approval means they will send the copy directly to my home address?? Please reply. Thanks

I had the same issue, in my case my bank had an old address on file and some weird address verification was not successful during the process.
After changing the address to my current address the payment went thru.

Mine was sent directly to my home address. No cover letter, nothing else in the envelope except the work permit itself.

I received the same email too but no other email after that. I received the BOWP in the mail in 4 days time. You do not need to do anything except for the mail to arrive

When You're filling the main form for BOWP IMM5710E what did You all choose as answer on third question about tiype of work permit?

I read that I should choose "open work permit" but I cant see that option. Only these: work permit with the same employer, a initial work permit or with a new employer, restoration of your status as a worker and temporary resident permit

I chose - initial work permit or with a new employer-though I am working with the same employer. It doesn't matter as this is for open work permit.

On page 3-Details of intended work in Canada-1.What type of work permit are you applying for - Here you choose open work permit

Please ensure that for no 2 & 3 you put your response as - BOWP-Applying for Bridging Open Work Permit. Do not put your employer's details.

Leave 3-7 blank.

For question 3 chose " WP with the same employer or WP with a new emp " doesn't matter
