BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi, I have fortunately received my BOWP recently (for the record, it took 10 days to get it approved!) but I am not sure whether I need to apply for a temporary residence extension as well or is the BOWP the only document I need to stay in Canada until the PR gets processed? My country of origin is Mexico. Can someone please help clarifying?

I applied BOWP last 17 August together with my wife.

Mine was approved on 22 August and I have received my BOWP last a Monday, 25 August.

No update or progress with my wife BOWP application as of writing. Is this normal? Anybody with the same situation?

By the way she's under SOWP and her open permit will expire in November. Should I be worried?

I thought BOWP is only for the principal applicant of CEC? Your wife can get a SOWP from your BOWP, right?

In MyCIC tool, there's a question about dependent/spouse. I included her in my application similar to what others did. Am I missing something?

No you should be fine.I have seen many people who have applied together and got approval.If possible please wait for few more days.

Oh I see. You applied together online. Yeah you did the right thing. They'll give her a SOWP since your BOWP is already approved. Just wait a little and she'll get it.

Did you apply by paper? It really depends on if your AoR is in the system when the VO checks after opening your BOWP application file. Luck plays a big part in this..

When did you submit the paper application? The processing time right now is 50-60 days, so if you submitted a few weeks ago and you're expecting AoR in a few days, you have nothing to worry about.

Bank draft was cashed,so expect oar I think next 2 days
