Hello, guys. I am in Canada on an occupation-restricted work permit under HSW and submitted 6 months of work experience on Jan 13, 2025. No response yet. Waiting for the stage 2 final decision. My work permit expires May 2027. Can I apply for BOWP now, or do I have to wait until 4 months to the expiry of my current permit to apply for BOWP?

From what I understand, you generally don't need to apply for a BOWP this early if your current work permit is still valid until May 2027. In most cases, people wait until they are much closer to the expiry date, assuming they still meet the eligibility requirements at that time. Since you're already waiting for your stage 2 decision, there's also a chance your PR application could be finalized before your work permit expires. I'd keep an eye on your application status and start looking into the work permit extension options a few months before expiry rather than applying now.
