BOWP Cancelled, PR application still in process

My BOWP status changed to cancelled while the status of my PR is still 'Submitted'. What could be the reason for that?


More context:
I applied for PR under CEC in July 2020. I got COPR in Feb but since I was outside Canada at the time, my COPR was retracted and I was told that the processing will resume once I am back in the country. In mid-Feb I flew back on my PGWP and told IRCC that I am back in the country and I applied for BOWP once I was back.

Note: I applied for BOWP first when in January before my trip but my previous BOWP application was cancelled when I got the COPR in February

Its bit confusing but they cancel the BOWP as you got COPR because BOWP purpose is to give u legal status while ur PGWP is expired and ur PR is processing...since you Got COPR which is the final step besides sending additional details for PR card thats why they might have cancelled BOWP....but when they send u COPR if they call you have to inform ur not in the country and thats why they retracted.... but since you are already back and informed them...they have to contact you since your PR is approved you wont be eligible for BOWP thats why it got cancelled 2nd time but i aint sure cross check with IRCC helpline...keep trying it wont connect with first try atleats 3-4 times back to back....

Also make sure dont delay because u have grace period of 30days after expiry of your visa so evem now u dont have any status it isnt ur fault as u already informed IRCC about your return...try calling them and explain ur situation about u tried to apply for BOWP for legal status as ur COPR is on hold due to certain reasons but gt cancelled and u already informed them about u being back...and what should u do or apply for to have legal status as u dont know when they will be retrievinv ur COPR....safe side rise the Case enquiry form and explain in it...
