BOWP application makes my PR process slower?

Hi

My PR application is in progress and I am going to apply for BOWP.
As I have a IEC work permit which is valid for more than 4 months, I am not sure if I am eligible for BOWP. But I apply because my spouse needs wp too.

I have two questions:

1) Does my BOWP application affect the speed of my PR application process?
2) If my BOWP gets rejected (due to me having IEC wp for longer than 4 months from now), how would that affect my PR application or anything else in future?

You can apply for BOWP after submitting your eAPR

1. No BOWP does not affect the speed of PR
2. If BOWP gets rejected, you lose your status in Canada. You have to find another way to stay legally or leave the country. If you stay on illegally, it will have a negative impact but if you find a way to stay legally or leave the country then there wont be any issues. Make sure you inform CIC about the rejection. Also, you dont have to be physically present in Canada to get PR.

The reason that I would like to apply for BOWP, is that my husband cannot apply for a wp as dependent of my IEC wp (this is the regulation of IEC).
So I would like to apply for BOWP for both of us to let him get one (bechtause he is dependent of me on our PR application, ans I think cannot apply for BOWP if I don't apply for one, right?)

If my BOWP gets rejected, am I right that I can still stay in Canada based on my IEC work permit anyway (till it expires)?

You can only apply for BOWP if your leave to remain is running out and after you have submitted eAPR. If you apply for BOWP when you know you are not eligible for just to get implied status, it is misrepresentation.
