There are spreadsheets somewhere on this forum that have all those statistics...i'll see if i can find it for you.jcb said:anybody has information how many applicatiosn the Bogota Visa office processing yearly ?
any good place too look up some statistics about this?
The embassy received our receipt for payment on the 21st of dec, so we're at the same place you are. They said it could take up to 8 weeks, so I'm not expecting to hear anything from the embassy until mid february. I think we're both getting close!jcb said:thanks for your help
meanwhile we are waiting for the "Background Verification" process to complete
Payment (COP 60,000) made to Risk Management Colombia SA on Dec 20, 2012
so far no change in process status
We sent ours by courier, DHL. So we knew from the tracking number when they received it. We had emailed them asking if we could upload the receipt using their case specific enquiry system, or email it to them, and they said no, that we had to send it to them by mail or courier so they had the original receipt.jcb said:how do you know, that VO received your receipt ?
we just emailed the receipt both to the VO and Risk Management SA ---neither replied back.
I believe that Risk Management Colombia is just the name the Canadian Embassy uses for banking purposes. I don't think its the name of the company that does the police checks. A year and a half ago when we applied for a tourist visa for my wife, we had to make a payment to the same Risk Managment Colombia for the visa application fee. It had nothing to do with background checksjcb said:yes, it is a good idea to mail the receipt to VO, so they can see, that applicant has done what they have asked
if Risk Management Colombia SA properly do their job, the VO will receive the result of their investigation from them.
however, if VO will not receive the investigation result in a given time limit (30 days ?-60 days ?-90 days ?), and VO has a receipt from the applicant, what are they going to do ?
