Hello,

For the bogota office passport request is generally the last step, we received a letter for the passport back in february and sent it off certified that day. The bogota office signed for it the next day,

Its now almost 8 weeks, all fees are paid, should we contact them or just wait another couple weeks?

We dont wanna piss them off there,

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Same situation here, they requested the passport March 15, same day we sent it back, they signed next day as received, and I was just wondering that also, could anyone give us any advice?

thanks in advance.

Hello there,

Some VO office ask for the visa early in the process...for example New Delhi asks the passport almost at the start. I think Bogota has been changing the way it processes the cases for Family Class Sponsorship, because it used to be 2 months to receive the AOR and now it's around 4. So it might be the same thing with the passport. One thing for sure, you are almost at your 10 month mark and have the right to write them and ask them what is going on. Good luck

I'm pretty sure Bogota is faster than Guatemala, this is going to take a least one more month for me, I just got a call from wife telling me that there is something new on e-cas...I hope those are good news.

Anyways I spoke with a friend which his girlfriend works in CIC and told him the situation she said Bogota is taking 2 months to process passports now....no word in why is this just working over some old applications, tomorrow I will have more news ...fingers cross Bogotanos.....

Yeah we had a couple small changes to ecas recently, for one my wife can login, secondly yesterday her address showed up. The address was never there before, still just says application received though.

Yes, my wife's address is there too :) Is it normal when I log-in, under my wife's name, it still says : not available ?

Hello guys,

ok I just find out that the medicals are showing in our ecas both of us my info and she's ....I know I know not big deal....but
Everytime that we saw this, it was when we were receiving something on the mail, this happend two times before, and we received a letter so I hope this is going to be good news.....and the address for us was updated as well only for my wife's log in info.

I hope for the best...otherwise I'm thinking I'll be making a call to CIC.

According to Trackitt, passport return is 6-9 weeks at Bogota. http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class

yes but they have been changing the way they process there...usually they sent AOR in 2 months, now it's 4-5 months and ask for the passport 1 month later...

My wifes medicals were there, but they disappeared about 3 weeks ago from ecas.

8 weeks today and still nothing, emailing them tomorrow. If nothing by next week contacted MP,

Hey man, that is so frustrating I guess it's right that the time bogota takes to process the passport is more now....at this point I just want to go to Colombia and stay there .....this is a joke....I just can't believe it...

I know what you feel man

Good luck to us..

It's just that they take it earlier in the process but it's still 80% 15 months remember, not 7 months, but 15 :)
