BLS PASSPORT SURRENDER APPLICATION REJECTED

Hey Everyone!

I applied for pass port surrender and it got rejected. I received the below email.


DEAR APPLICANT,
YOUR INCOMPLETE / INCORRECT APPLICATION IS BEING SENT BACK DUE TO THE FOLLOWING REASON/S:
• FOREIGN NATIONALITY ACQUISITION DATE IS NOT MATCHING WITH OATH CERTIFICATE. FOREIGN NATIONALITY ACQUISITION DATE SHOULD BE SAME AS PER OATH CERTIFICATE.(REDO APPLICATION AND DO NOT WRITE WITH PEN)
WE ARE SENDING BACK THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS:
• DRAFT & IND PPT
BLS FEE IS CHANGED SO VISIT BLS WEBSITE FOR REFERENCE AND PAY ACCORDINGLY.KINDLY ATTACH CHECKLIST ALONG WITH YOUR APPLICATION.REFER BLS WEBSITE FOR NEW UPDATES. I never recieved my passport or DD back. Should I go walk in to collect my documents or send the application again and they would attach the passport/DD automatically along with my new application? BLS call centre sucks as I have been trying to call them past two weeks and Nobody is ever available.

You need to get hold of your original doc. If for some reason BLS loses it your surrender and subsequent OCI will be in dock. Better go to BLS and sort it out.
